Family Pictures 2014

You just gotta love family picture attempts!

It is never easy to try and capture a shot with a nonstop 1.5 year old and a high maintenance 3 year old. And our girls did not disappoint. They made sure to be completely uncooperative for our family photos. Josse cried every time she thought she was going to get dirty and she swore there were bugs right by her whenever we had her sit on the blanket and Jewel had a complete meltdown every time we tried to get a picture without ME holding her.

Like many moms I start worrying about what picture to use for our annual family Christmas card by the end of October. I was so relieved & over joyed when our sweet friend Emily Moore (Emily Moore Photography) was going to be coming into town to do some Christmas mini sessions the beginning of November! Now you all know that things just never go smoothly when pictures are involved and this time was no different. Although we had had gorgeous weather the past few days in Dallas, the morning we scheduled to take pictures the temperature dropped drastically and was absolutely FREEZING and incredibly WINDY. And although my girls had been healthy the entire year they both magically came down with runny noses the night before pictures. That is not all... of course they both woke up all throughout the night and did not get any good sleep the night before our 8:00am photo shoot so they were as cranky as could be!

Never the less, the amazing Emily Moore some how managed to get some beautiful shots and there was one that actually made the Christmas card cut! So if you are looking for a photographer in West Texas or DFW contact Emily Moore she is simply the BEST

Here are a few shots from our cold, windy, November Christmas card shoot...
