If you read my last Blog Planning a "Gender Reveal" Party! then you know that I have been very busy planning my very 1st gender reveal party! I had a total blast planning this party with my mom & friend Christina and all of the hard work definitely paid off! Here is a look back at what the evening was like...
All of the guests arrived and had to wear their guess! Mustache or Bow
We were a house divided between "team boy" & "team girl"
Then the guests then casted their vote! "Will baby Alcala be a boy or girl?"
You can not have a party without food! I decided to serve desserts & hot cocoa since it is December 2nd & Christmas is right around the corner. I went with the colors brown, gold & cream. I wanted it to look wintery and glitzy yet have a rustic feel. I used gold sequin material as the table cloth and then I used tons of mason jars & wood stumps.
We served a variety of desserts including: cake balls, chocolate dipped rice crispy treat bites, smores on a stick, chocolate dipped pretzels, cupcakes, cookies, fruit-kabobs & a variety of cheeses.
I set up a hot cocoa bar which was a lot of fun & a big hit! Who doesn't love a little hot chocolate in December?
We decided to reveal the gender of baby #2 by cutting a cake! Pink frosted represented a baby girl and blue frosting represented a baby boy!
As you can see the inside of the cake was most definitely PINK!!!! Wooohoo we are having another little princess. I just know Josselyn & our precious new little girl will be the best of friends! There is nothing greater in life than having a sister :)
So needless to say, we had a wonderful evening sharing this good news with our family & friends! I am so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with such an amazing family & supportive friends. Friends & family are truly one of life's greatest treasures.
Cheers to Sugar & Spice & Everything Nice!!!
