The "New"

As I think back on these past few weeks in January, I can not help but notice so many "NEW" milestones that have already happened in 2012.

My sweet little girl has surprised us with quite a few "new" things.  First of all she rolled over for the very first time the beginning of the month! Within a few days she became a little gymnast ;) She can roll from her back to her tummy...back to her back...and then back to her tummy (she is a pro).

Then another not so good "new" thing happened...Josselyn has officially learned how to suck her thumb! She no longer just chews on her fingers or thumb she can actually suck her thumb quite well. I am a little confused how Josse can suck her thumb so perfectly, but she can't seem to figure out how to suck on a bottle Hmmmm?!?! Anyways, thumbs are a no no for now. I am not sure I would know how to break a thumb habit later on, so I am going to try and keep that habit from starting.

Another sad "new" thing that I blogged about a few weeks ago, is that Josselyn now sleeps in her big girl crib. This milestone makes me very very sad. But I new she couldn't stay in her bassinet forever, so I had to just make the transition sooner rather than later.  Ugh enough about that before I start crying  :(

I can not forget to mention Josselyn's "new" big girl food aka rice cereal! Yes Josselyn has moved up in the food pyramid to rice cereal. Believe it or not, my smart little girl new exactly what a spoon was for when we first introduced cereal to her. She opened her mouth big and wide the moment the spoon got close to her lips haha. I guess she is a born eater ;)

One more "new" I must mention is that I went back dark! Yes I am a natural brunette believe it or not (I am Greek/Armenian and then a mode podge of other stuff from my moms side). And no, my hair is not naturally dark blonde, dirty blonde or light brown, it is just plain medium/dark brown. Only those of you who have known me for 10+ years have ever seen my natural hair color because I started highlighting my hair when I was 17. Anyways, I decided to go back brunette to give my hair a break from all the bleach. I will be honest, I do not exactly love my new hair color so it may be back blonde by February lol but, I am going to try my very hardest to keep it dark until summer ;) The plus is that Josselyn does now look more like my daughter! Maybe people will stop saying, "Oh does she look like her daddy?" or "What nationality is her dad?" lol

Well that about sums up our January! Our little princess is doing all kinds of NEW stuff each day and mommy has had some sort of post-pregnancy crisis and dyed her hair brown haha

I believe the best is yet to come in 2012
